Recreational - White Flag
The White Flag for Leisure Facilities is a national hygiene/environmental award aimed at swimming pools, sports halls, gymnasiums and other indoor leisure facilities throughout Ireland. This award is based on the international 'blue flag' scheme and emphasises high standards in both environmental activities and hygiene.
In Ireland the white flag scheme is run by ILAM (Institiute for Leisure and Amenity Management Ireland Ltd.) http://www.ilam.ie
City Analysts have put together a 'white flag' suite for testing swimming pool and spa waters.
The table below list the microbiological tests that should be carried out on pool and spa waters on a monthly basis along with the recommended white flag standards.
