Accreditation
It is our policy at City Analysts to strive for continuous improvement both in the operation of our laboratories and the service we provide to all our clients.
INAB Accreditation
City Analysts have been accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB, www.inab.ie) to ISO 17025 since 2003 for a defined scope of activity. ISO 17025 is the international standard that specifies the general requirements for the competence of laboratories to carry out tests. Accreditation to this standard is formal recognition that the laboratory is competent to carry out tests detailed in the scope. As part of the ongoing accreditation to ISO 17025 all of City Analysts technical and qualtiy systems are audited on an annual basis by INAB assessors.
Proficiency Testing
City Analysts operates a combined system of proficeincy testing participating in an extensive range of external proficiency schemes to complement our in-house quality assurance programs.
Internal Quality Control
We have a full time Quality manager who is responsible for the laboratories quality control system. An extensive system of internal auditing plays a vital role in monitoring the laboratories activities. Participation in the internal audit system by all analysts forms a formal part of our training policy. For more information about our quality control system contact jennyp@cityanalysts.ie
External Quality Control
Participation in a range of external proficiency schemes is an integral part of the quality control system. Recognised EPT schemes allow peer comparison of the laboratory on an international level. Analytical performance in the external schemes is assessed on a ongoing basis ensuring the quality of the test results leaving the laboratory. All laboratory staff are required to participate in the relevant EPT schemes.
